At the moment, I'm living on my own. However, I'm thinking of moving back to my parents - where we already have sky.

Therefore I need to cancel my virgin. However, when I cancel it I will still have around 12 months on my contract.

Is there anyway out of my contract? what can I do?

What's the worse that will happen? Debt??
Any advice?

If you received any letters/emails of any increases in your subscription within the last 30 days then you are entitled to cancel your subscription without any penalties.

Outwith those 30 days, you'll be required to pay the balance due under the contract you agreed. Do remember, they report to CRA's so defaults can be problematic.

No, as stated above, downgrade your package to the minimum or phone and chance it saying you just received the letter.

Thanx, I don't think the letter had a date. If anything it may have had month and year. But might try that..

No. If you cancel in minimum term, the full ETC will be payable as per your agreed contract.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Thanx might actually consider that.. Shall have a chat with the parents! Espcially if it works out cheaper!

However, the virgin is in my boyfriends name, so will they allow me to change names??

Probably not - it has to be the same customer!

Play it by ear - phone, saying the letter giving the price increase is too much for you to take, and you will have to let it go. This way, you can rebuff a mention of any ETC by saying you only got the undated letter recently.

    It might just work!
