  • A UU today, Sure Crystal Pure roll on deo - WBA - HG deo and already a couple more in stash in readiness for trying to go three months without any IN (already failed but I've only had one and it was necessary so not too bad!)

Day off tomorrow as new washing machine is being delivered - the time slot is 10.55 - 15.33 so potentially having to stay at home most of the day - have decided I'll go through original stash items whilst I'm waiting and pick out any TA/GA that I know I simply won't use as they've either gone off or they're not suited to my hair etc. They've been hanging around for a year at the least so no point in them being there another one if they're not going to be used by me.

I used up a lipgloss this morning which I have kept on the sideboard in the hallway to put on every time I go outside. Next one to use is a a nearly used up lipstick.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j
  • I'm afraid I have been somewhat of a failure today :(
My DS1 left for a new life in the RAF today, and I have been a bit emotional to say the least. (still mopping tears hours later) I am doing Slimming World, so can't eat for comfort like I normally would, I am also doing Dryathlon for January, so no alcohol either , so I did the next best thing, I bought a bottle of perfume. I'm awfully sorry!
    1 in for me :(

Hope everyone's had a good day today despite the snow.

Another UU to report, Oral B Pro Expert All Around Clean Mint toothpaste. It's okay and does the job (no fillings at the last dental checkup) which is just as well as I have another tube stuttering and 4 new tubes still in the cupboard!

kameleon, thank you for the posts about using soap etc in the washing machine. I'll give this a try this weekend as I have a couple of bars of soap which I know I won't use.
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
  • Another UU Skin therapy 2 in 1 cleanser toner, already bought another
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
  • A quick UU (success!) Neal’s Yard Frankincense hydrating cream 25ml.

God only knows how long this has been in the stash - it was a freebie on the front of a magazine and I seem to recall having it three house moves ago (at least 2.5 years ago if not more).

The smell had changed but the consistency was otherwise fine. As it wasn't a lovely smell this was used for foot massages for myself and OH and moisturised my legs. WNBA as it didn't smell great to me even when first opened.

Great, I'd be interested to hear how other people get on with it.

That's an imaginative way of using up soap Kameleon - there were a few posts on the Gloopy Thread saying that making laundry gloop from soap didn't work for them, but methods vary. This is my method

My method works perfectly for me, but you do have to dissolve the soap fully in hot water on the stove before adding the soda and borax substitute (if borax sub. is used), and making sure these dissolve.

Forgive me people for I have fallen and it's bad.

Picked up a Lancome pallette in the duty free.

Dior pallette arrived from the Secret Admirerer programme from the Dior Cancer charities auction. It's beautiful.

Glossybox arrived. Two moisturizers, a dry hairspray, false eyelashes, an Avon lipgloss and a Revlon nailpolish. Huge mess with GB we found out that the Avon and Revlon products didn't come from the companies and are season old. Some people said the Avon products were separated and nasty. Huge drama on the Facebook page, if bored look up Glossybox Canada.

    Out:

Angel and Demons perfume samples x3. Not me. Glad it was samples

John Frieda Shampoo for colour treated hair
John Frieda Conditioner for colour treated hair.
Facebook samples. Very nice but very pricy. If I ever run out of products, would buy.
