My totals for the month at uu/out/ta - 29 (this included 6 shower gels given to DH and 3 face washes to him too). Two items were TA but all the rest were uu.

Ins - 7, 2 of which were paid for/part paid for with cash at a total spend of £8.35. I am very pleased at the spend plus I now have 22 little spaces that I didn't have at the beginning of the month.

Few last min UU for January:

No. 7 Essential Moisture Day Cream - WBA - have always been a fan of this and think its reasonably priced

Olay Regenerist Night Renewal Elixir - Bought three bottles of this towards the beginning of last year from the clearance shelves in Boots for the bargain price of about £7.50 each. Did have the original idea of keeping one to use and Ebaying the other two but they were going extremely cheaply on there - something silly like 2 for a £5 (some Google research showed that Olay is a popular make to fake apparently...) so I ended up keeping them all to use. They last a long while as you only need a couple of small pumps and I really can see the effects of using this, my skin looks better and it feels firming. That said I was quite shocked to see its £30 on Boots so I don't know whether I will BA at this stage once the next bottle is gone but that'll be months yet so not to worry!

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Firming Butter - WNBA - The smell is a bit overpowering and its very thick and heavy, it also does that thing where it makes the delicate skin around my chest sort of flake if you know what I mean. I hated using this up and I don't need any encouragement to get into bad ways and not moisturise daily so not for me this one.

Can I please ask where everyone is getting the samples of Extraordinary Oil?? I'd really like to try this and I don't really want to buy a bottle unless I'm convinced it won't be too heavy for my fine hair.

Totals for the month for me are 26 UU/TA/GA and 2 bought IN totalling around £6.50 - was aiming for no IN but both were fairly necessary and didn't break the bank so I'm pretty happy with that. Just had my nails done in Bio Gel Love Potion, they are a fab vampy red :)

  • Evening ladies, just popping in with my last UU before I head off to the shiny new February thread.

Had a bit of a rummage through the stash at the weekend because I was trying to dig out all the half used moisturisers that are lingering so they can get used up next. So I have a few tiny sachet UU.

DHC Cleansing Oil sachet - WNBA, have had this for years, I am surprised it was still OK
VO5 Fade Defy shampoo sachet - WNBA, I don't colour my hair and have no plans to do so in the near future so I just used this up to get rid of it.
Nivea Pure and Natural night cream sachets - MBA, this was OK and is quite cheap in the shops but looking at the list of ingredients it looked far from natural to me!
Avon Anew night cream trial size - WNBA, this was really perfumed and I wasn't keen on using it on my face, I used it every second night in case I had a reaction to it but seem to have got away with it.

So I think that makes 9 UU for January and no unnecessary Ins :j
I did buy face wipes but don't have any in the stash so I'm not counting them. Hopefully February will go as well!
No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

I've finally caught up with the thread and all your news, just in time for the new month.

Maddiemay I hope your brother is continuing to improve and gain in strength. Enjoy all your Elemis TSV goodies.

Rosemary that LIB prize sounds amazing.

Rougeylawyer your bunny sounds adorable, but very destructive. I hope he/she helps you relax after all those long days.

Emsjune I used my extraordinary oil for the first time last night. I really liked the oil, I found that it seemed easier to distribute evenly than serum due to being less viscous and it appeared to all end up in my hair whereas serum leaves a residue on my hands. The combination of this oil and my big hair styler has left my hair really smooth, whereas blowdrying usually makes it really big! I'm not sure how much is due to the hair oil and how much the styler but I'm impressed! I haven't used oil in my hair before so can not compare the extraordinary oil to other hair oils and although I really like it I can't say it lives up to it's name.

I better declare an IN before the end of the month :o it was a Boots Time Delay cleansing wash which is currently 1/2 price so £2.24, used a ACM points for 200 with any Time Delay and used a love2 shop card so effectively only 24p :jpretty good I think.
It has been suggested the Boots is discontinuing the TD range, I am currently using a TD cleansing wash from the old packaging and actually there was 150ml compared to 100ml that I got today, but still the same price. Sneaky Mr B
