Plusnet Loyalty?

After 7+ years with plusnet, I have been looking at the fibre (FTTC) options in my area. I asked for my MAC code and after a 15 minute wait I was told it would be coming through. I was offered nothing to stay with them at all which I think is really poor.

For every customer they lose, 5 more will join.
Don't ever think a service provider cares about you.0 -
Are you unappy about the 15 mins on hold or that they gave you the mac you asked for?
Or just wanted to moan about anything??0 -

Did you ask?
One of the reasons I like Plusnet is that they don't pressurise you or try to sell you stuff when you contact them.0 -
Why leave Plusnet when they do FTTC and at a competitive price?0

Plusnet have a phone number that you can ring if you are thinking of leaving.
If you tell them that you are planning to leave because you want to upgrade to fibre and are very unhappy that the advertised Plusnet fibre deal wasn't available to existing customers, you may find that actually the advertised deal is really available......0 -
i called up and got the same deal as brand new customers0

Plusnet gives new and old customers same deal. If a new product comes out they even let you switch if you under contract on the old one. They changed their fibre package recently when I still had 6 months remaining. All was needed was agree to a new contract of 18 months. Easy0

Yes, same here almost. Except I am only 1 month into the fibre extra (250gb usage) contract.0 -
Phone them up. Haggle! Threaten to leave, that gets their attention. Once you're out of contract you're free go elsewhere, point that out to them and say you've seen a better offer elsewhere. Theres no such thing as loyalty in this business. Why do you think insurance premiums shoot up at renewal time? Do you stick with the same policy year after year? If you do, they're fleecing you.
I called Sky after my 12 months contract was up, I thought the £14.50 line rental + £10 BB was excessive, they put me through to customer retentions, they offered me it half price for 9 months, no minimum term contract.
When thats up I'll be phoning them again.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0
