Looking at getting a new printer what do poeple think.
Running costs (ink) would be one point to take into consideration.
Been looking at:
Epson XP305
Epson XP605
HP3520
HP6700
Kodak hero 7.1
Or any other you recommend.

Epson printers are usually recommended by folk on here, but I've never had one. I used to have an HP all in one printer, it was very good but the inks were so expensive I couldn't afford to run it, so I got a Brother like this one instead. It uses large ink tanks which run on cheap compatible inks and I am really pleased with it.0

Epson XP range have compatibles available, though expensive at the moment.
Some have mentioned Kodak build quality
What will the primary uses be?
Brother looks good, slightly cheaper here

If you want to look at them, currys and PC World should have them, though more expensive

Without knowing the type of prints (documents, photos), the quantity of prints, it's like asking which piece of string is bestMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

would just like to ask if anyone had more recommendations for printers? I am looking for one to print colour for some work things but would like the use of a scanner so i can scan in old pictures. Im really looking for a brand where ink isnt to expensive as my hp one goes through ink quickly.
Thanks0 -
Is that colour in documents or photos?
What quality scans?0 -

What quality scans?
colour in documents - im a teacher and occasionally have to print colour resources at home (though i try to avoid this)
Im not looking for amazing quality for the scanner as im looking for a more basic model but want to get a copy of old pictures on my computer
I dont want to spend more than £50 and i have a laser printer for other documents for it wont be used too much
Thanks0 -

Have seen an SX445W for £40 but not heard of the company selling it

Also these, though the compatible inks are expensive at the moment

Avoid the S22 as it drinks ink apparently
Check for better prices0 -
If I could go back and chnage the printer I bought Id get an epson, purely for the fact the inks are cheaper thn what I pay for the ones for the canon bought.0
