Hi all hoping for some advice please.

I'm off training soon in Austria for 5 weeks and want to keep in touch with family.

I'm looking at using facetime with my Iphone 4 but just found out my apartment doesn't have wi-fi only ethernet connection.

Is there anyway I can use my Iphone perhaps via. a wi-fi router to create a wi-fi hot-post and then use facetime in this way?

Is skype also for use via. wi-fi only or could I just connect my
lap-top via. ethernet and then use skype?

Would I be better taking my pay as you go phone and buying a SIM in Austria?

Any other options or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
