parking near Hyde park

West is bad for free parking.
The nearest, nicest place with all-day free parking is Rotherhithe - this is about 20 mins from the West End on the 381 bus, which runs 24 hours. There is also a station there that is part of the tube system. Although it is slightly south-east of central London, the congestion charge is not operational until Wednesday.
You could park there during the day, NYE, and come back for the car after the free parking starts elsewhere. I would guess that all parking will be suspended around Westminster and Trafalgar Sq.0 -
Are you staying in a hotel, can you call them and ask their advice?
You're probably not going to want to park far from where you are staying unless you get a taxi to your venue.0 -
There's also the usual gazillion road closures in central London today from 5pm and tomorrow because of the fireworks and parade, which is going to make things even more difficult if the car needs to be movedNow free from the incompetence of vodafail0
