Looks like a topic for the Site Feedback forum.
MSE posts the thread first then the OP spends a minute or two typing up and going through the polling options.

Nope but I am working 7am - 9pm on New Years Day so can't go out the night before :(
  • Yes I am, I work Mondays, my company is open, so I'm in, only for 6 hours! Last year I worked new years day, that was way worse, no late night and we always have family games. So pleased to have only worked Christmas eve and new yrs eve this year!

    Lucky you!

Quite a few companies, especially retail, ban a/l over the festive period! Not that it bothers me as I do early shifts!!
  • Nope. Going to the cinema then for a meal out.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I haven't been out for about 10 years on NYE- too expensive, just a rip off. Who cares.
  • I am but I don't mind. Going to work on Wednesday is a pain though. The Scottish are a funny bunch ;) but that's one thing they've got right.
