Hi there,
Can anyone give advice on this situation:
- 3 adults living in house, mum, me (24) and my sis (20)
- Mum is on esa and dla and has a severe mental disabilty, sis is on jsa and I'm on IS and CA
The council tax bill comes on my mums name and I was wondering if she qualifies for any discount? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Yes she should apply without delay. If Mum receives the care componenet of DLA she will be entitled to Maximum CTB.
In addition she should find out why CTB was stopped when she moved from IS to ESA, as this is a change of circs that should not have ended CTB and her claim should simply of been adjusted to pay based on an income of ESA rather than IS. The council should all this information0
