ValOrient, how did you get in to doing that?

I watched a programme called 'Party Paramedics' on C4 earlier this year about the Colchester Party Bus and said out loud, "I'd love to do that". My 23 yr old son then piped up with "well we've got one in Maidstone!".

I then found out that it was called the Urban Blue bus and during the week the bus (a converted double decker) is used as a youth sexual advice centre and visits schools etc. I contacted the organisers via Facebook and they invited me along to see how it was. I had no first aid skills at this time, but they have put me through the first aid at work course and in the new year I am going to attend training on manual handling and use of gases (Oxygen and Entonox).

I would recommend it to anyone who wants a bit of a challenge, and as I said, we have a lot of fun. It is also incredibly rewarding.
