Onion can be diced and frozen if you've got too much to use immediately, I've just done it to a bunch of onions. Frozen on a flat baking tray, it can then be bagged up so you only use as much as needed. To measure for recipes, 1 cup is about 1 medium onion.0

Just thinking about food wastage is upsetting! I would use as much as possible: you should be proud of being thrifty and not wasteful, not ashamed of collecting edible stuff.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

In our house:
Manky veg + water + stock cube + curry powder = spiced veg soup
Manky veg + water + stock cube + cinnamon, cumin and ground coriander = morrocan veg soup
Manky veg + water +stock cube + sweet chilli sauce = chilli szchewan soup
Can you tell I'm an expert at using up manky veg!! Go for it girl!0 -

Thats very odd he'd bin the food even when in date....even if he didn't want you to share he could have at least frozen it. Very selfish.0
