Books are a dying market really and if they are ordinary chart books then charity shop them.
However, some books do hold their price and Amazon is a good place to start, also try these threads:

Hi, i would suggest searching for some of your book titles on amazon. I would not be surprised to find many of this type of book selling used for just 1p + p&p. Unless they are rare titles or rare editions then I doubt its going to be worth it. There are tales of people getting it wrong on amazon and it ending up costing more to post than they got in sales!if i had known then what i know now0

The easiest way to search for a book on Amazon is by typing in the ISBN. Then you can see, at a glance, the selling prices of the same edition of the same book in various conditions and whether it's worth listing your copy of the same book.
Just occasionally you can find you've got something rare and unusual that's worth listing. As others have suggested, simply charity shop the rest and bear in mind that it can take months for a rare book to get a sale, so you have to be a little patient."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Try greenmetropolis.com - they pay £3 for each book that sells and although that includes postage and you're not guaranteed a sale, it's better than nothing.0

Bear in mind that with a fixed rate of £3 per book including postage, you will actually lose money on the sale of any book that is large and/or heavy and you will have the hassle of packing and queuing at the post office whenever a book sells - in return for, at best, peanuts!
Also, bear in mind, that only 50p-£1 per sale actually reaches a charity via Greenmetropolis.com, according to the intro on the website.
You're more likely to make more money both for yourself - and for charity - and have far less hassle - if you list only those few books worth a few quid on Amazon (and have to package and despatch them) and simply donate the rest to charity shops."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

I was going to mention Green Metropolis.
Over the last four years I've sold about 250 books by listing on GM.
However, books can be slow to sell, and it is getting slower now that more and more people are getting eReaders. Also, you won't get rich by selling on GM
If you need to get rid of the books quickly, personally I'd give them to a charityEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Another advocate of Greenmetropolis - I've been selling on there for nearly 5 years and have sold over 220.0
