Buy it now payment

Hi all,
I sold something on eBay yesterday morning on a buy it now. The buyer hasn't paid for the item yet. I appreciate it has only been 24 hours but am a bit nervous as they have zero feedback. I sent an invoice about 2 hours after they bought yesterday but have had no contact.
Starting to worry now as it is quite a high value item and don't really want to hang around. How long would you leave it before contacting them again and what would you say?
Thank you!

Personally I would not pester them yet, You cant start a Non-paying bidder case for 4 days after sale, then Ebay gives the buyer 4 more days to pay.
I'd maybe send an email on Monday politely asking when they are going to be paying, if no response open your NPB case on day 4.
Dont think there is much else you can do but someone more knowledgeable might correct me.if i had known then what i know now0 -
I don't think there's any harm in sending a polite message.
Ask if they can confirm when they will be paying, if you want, add that as it's a holiday week it will help with shipping arrangements..0 -
Personally I wouldn't contact them at all until about day 3 or 4 with a polite follow up to the invoice. Then just open a full NPB a day or so afetr that if they do not pay.
DO NOT offer to cancel anything though, just assume they are going to pay. In future for BIN items it is useful to enable the 'immediate payment required' option .
I tend not to stress at all for a few days, although I do find it odd to BIN an item and then not pay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for the replies.
Will probably leave it a couple of days before messaging. It is the zero feedback that concerns me the most. Like mentioned I just find it odd that someone would do a buy it now but not pay straight away. Didn't know there was an option to request immediate payment, will certainly do that next time!0 -

The immediate payment option is very good, they cannot physically buy it unless the pay- brilliant.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'd send one more invoice and then do nothing.
I'm gonna guess that they WON'T pay though. (based on my own experience with ebayers with zero feedback bidding on my expensive items)
You need not worry though. Just open a dispute after 4 days, and if still no payment after another 4 days, you can close the case/get any fees back and relist

Zero feedback might mean they are new to ebay and trying to work out how to set up and verify a paypal account if it is quite a high value item? Or maybe they don't understand/realise how it all works. I know some silver surfers who get a little confused. Is it an item that would attract idiots (car uplighting kit, TV, laptop, phone) or a more stable audience (antique sideboard, knitted baubles)?0

Not available to occasional sellers. I ticked this box but on clicking the continue button it told me I couldn't do this.
It should be available to all, the only reason you would be prevented is if you had options for payment other than paypal ticked.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ah o.k. - I've just tried to update my listing to 'require immediate payment' and , as before, it won't let me.
It comes back with
"you must have a premier or business paypal account to require immediate payment"
I also noticed that when you tick the immediate payment box all other methods of payment become greyed out0
