marking as dispatched

Porto, I only wrap when I have payment as I get a lot of combined purchases and my issue isn't with my one off items.
My issue is with multiple BIns where I have identical items And need to keep track of which ones for which buyers I have wrapped and still manage combined packages.
I think I am over complicating things really and have decided to go back to marking as dispatched on my identical BIN items as I wrap and stamp them.
So I'll sell a BIN wrap it, stamp it put it in the sack and send email to buyer, then mark as dispatched as I go along.
Like you though I don't bother with any form of invoice or note in packet. I have pre printed compliment slips with my geographic address, ebaynid and a brief thank you for purchasing noteI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. ASAP I email the buyer when I will post the item (usually same or next working day).
I post the item then mark as dispatched and send an email to also confirm.
I treat each sale in time order, like a production line I complete each stage to packing and then account for the sale on my spreadsheet.0 -
I will still remain to do what i have always done despite reading what some people think of it.
I mark my items desptached once i have wrapped and have them in my sack to go to the PO it is then a matter of minutes/hours usually before they are actually at the PO.
Otherwise i am wrapping late the night before, if somone is that bothered about me marking their item despatched at 11pm and me actually posting it at 9am the next morning then they are likely to moan about anything seeing as their item would have only been bought that day and i have a 2 day despatch time on my listings. My stars are all around the 4.9 mark so i'm not fussed about changing anything.0 -

I also thought though that a buyer can't mark the comms stars at all if there has been no correspondance through the message system. So by emailing the buyer although i'm sure most don't mind a polite message like this you are opening yourself up to lower comms stars? Where as if you didn't bother they can only leave a 5.0 -

All my stars are 5's and have sold many hundreds of similar items this year.
I am confident in my product and service. I believe prompt communication is the key to keep the buyer informed at each stage and to sort out any problems.0 -

think there are another couple of stipulations for an automatic 5* comms
you must list with a 1 working day handling time, you must mark as dispatched within 1 working day of payment.if i had known then what i know now0 -

Also buyer contact allows stars to be left, so if you ever want the ability to leave stars for communication, just send the seller an eBay message saying 'so pleased to have won this, thank you' or similar .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
