Nokia not showing persons name

Hi

I've got a Nokia 1200. I know it's old but going strong. When I get a text message it shows some people's names but not others. When I go to contacts both names are stored. How to fix the problem please?

It looks at only the last 6 digits to pull up the name. If this is unique, a name will be shown. If it isn't - only the number shows.

So 07860123456 and 07831123456 are seen as being the same number, and the number only is shown.

Check your phone book to make sure you don't have the same number saved twice. As per the above post, if the phone sees the same number for two different contacts, it doesn't know which name to display so shows only the number.
