If the price didn't drop, would you still be happy with paying £1299 for a TV, Sound Bar and Blurays/DVD's??,0

Would you be disappointed if you thought you'd paid £300 more than you had to for anything? Do you work for the Company concerned by chance?0 -

Oh, not that old chessnut - just because they disagree they must work for the company. What a narrow-minded point of view as just because they have a different opinion means they must have some sinister intentions behind it(!).
It was a perfectly valid question - they offered £1300 for the TV, soundbar etc and the company accepted. The consequential price-drop really has absolutely nothing to do with the deal that has already been concluded - hence getting anything back is nothing short of a good(will) victory for the OP.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Of course I would have, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it in the first place.
But surely the question should have been if the TV was £999 would I have bought the sound bar and £20 of Knowhow movies for £150 , and the answer would have been no.
I went to the store to buy a TV , at that time I didn't know about the Sound bar and £20 of free movies , and in fact it wasn't until I paid the £1299 for the TV that I was told that the TV came with the freebies , no where in store did it mention it and the sales man didn't mention until I had paid .
When I got home I checked the website and then I noticed that they had the TV on its own , and the TV with sound bar/Film card for the same price.
So as far as I am concerned it wasn't sold as package deal , it was just a freebie ,so there for should not have had any bearing on the price drop.
But whats done is done now, and as some of you say £150 is better than nothing.0 -
Well you sort of answered your question, You were happy to pay £1299 for the package and getting more than 15% of the total package price back must mean you should be ecstatic.
You'd probably be annoyed if you were sold the TV, went home and found out they didn't offer the Soundbar and movie card as a package, and you would probably return and get them included in the price you paid.
Sometimes the carniv gets you, sometimes you get the carniv
Would love to know what TV and soundbar your brought though.0 -

I bought an LG LM640T 55" 3D Smart TV and the sound bar was an LG NB3250A , the TV is a fantastic bit of kit and I highly recommened it and the sound bar for that matter
I also did better than I thought on the soundbar as they sell for £180 on Currys website.0 -
They gave you £150 back when they should of only given £100 back (£300 tv reduction + £20 movies + 180 Soundbar)
Better be happy at that, otherwise I've found the Grinch of Christmas.
The 55" is far too big, but the 47" at £650 looks like a steal0 -
No Grinch here :rotfl:
The LM series TV's at what ever size are great , but the bigger the better for 3D , some say 60" is the smallest you should go on 3D though .
LG have a 84" LM series TV for £22,000 + but I doubt the shops have it in the sales
You are right I did do well out of the deal getting £200 back out of the £300 was a steal
So hats off to Currys , good customer service .
Again thanks to everyone for the advice.0
