    I would agree with that - the customer service rep was rude, had no idea what he was talking about and patronised me throughout the whole call!

    I will not hold my breathe waiting for a complaints handler to call me back :mad:

    I haven't had a single problem with them in 15+ years, guess you were unlucky.

    Guess you were LUCKY!!! Its renowned for its "BAD" customer service - all great if everything works but the minute something goes wrong then "Boom!" - welcome to the wonderful world of Sky Customer Bad-Service Dept.

    Like a lot of companies, they're fine as long as everything goes as expected. It's when you hit a problem and need customer service that you discover how dire it is. If you don't hit a problem you simply don't know.

    I have had problems with my equipment in the past but it has always been sorted out quickly and without fuss.
    It's a shame that only the minority of bad experiences are posted on the internet.

    I have to agree with Jimx26. I'm in my third home where I've had Sky installed. Only ever had one problem & a quick response was received when I called about it.
    The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

    I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

    We just left sky as they don't subtitle on any of their Internet based services and their on demand 99% of it haven't got it either. Since they refused a price discount to be fair to what I could actually watch we left them.

    In your desperation to shill for sky you seem unable to get your story straight.

    From what I've heard on the specialist forums, if you have a 'standard' problem - e.g. your box stops functioning, then, yes, they can handle that. It's when it gets a little out of the ordinary that they become useless.
