Think the current brain fug is mostly being caused by stress re pay day being moved. I have moved nearly all of the dd's now but OH quite rightly pointed out that it would cause an issue with the rent.
Would need to add approx a week's rent extra onto the contract (to move from 25th to 1st), plus no doubt they would charge their standard admin fee of £58! Basically it would leave me out of pocket by about £200 and I am not prepared to do that.
My plan is now to approach my daddy and ask him if I can borrow 1 month's rent. This then puts me ahead of myself and over the entire tenancy doesn't leave me out of pocket. I will pay him back bit by bit.
I feel a bit better for coming up with a solution. Just waiting for him to call me now to sort it.
Phew!
EDIT: Think it's sorted. He seemed a bit reluctant and couldn't really understand why I needed it but I think it will be ok!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
Been up since 6.10a.m. this morning to drop my son off at the bus station to get his bus home to Pompey. Long live Mega Bus! He had travelled up before Christmas for £1 and is returning today for £15!!
Since then have been trying catch up with spreadsheets and things as I had let things slide over November and December. Now back up to date!!
Have been pondering what to do with a sizeable inheritance (which the rest of the family have already received) but due to various hiccups I'm still waiting - added to the Xmas break means the earliest I can do anything about is on 2nd January!! Hence me pondering instead of actually doing anything constructive!!
Am wondering whether to be cheeky with all our creditors and see what F&Fs I can get away with!! Been reading up and am now thinking nothing ventured nothing gained!!
Need to sort Gas/Electric - now we are back on proper meters and need to look up Uswitch pronto - even though still not had final account for Gas yet.
Had Xmas leftovers for lunch!
Fed the cat Xmas leftovers too!
Taken down one piece of tinsel as it was annoying me!!
Put out the recycling bins!
Done an economy towel wash as we had a few visitors over Xmas!
Now watching Mamma Mia!!
SwampyExpect the worst, hope for the best, and take what comes!!:o0 -
Been AWOL doing lots but popping into to say to WW - to check for any hairline cracks on the toilet. Probably best to do it in daylight. Sometimes this can be the reason. We had a crack develop from the handle being put on too tightly by the previous people. Hope you get it sorted

Take care everyone

Our goal after becoming debt free (hopefully by the end of this year!) is to get saving so we can go travelling, I am hoping that somehow we can afford to do a trek round Australia, then America, & add in a few other places we really, really want to go which would include a safari in Africa somewhere. I had always thought Kenya could be a good place to go but I don't know if that's just because of a silly video I saw once...lol :rotfl: I need to do loads of research about the whole thing though & plan it meticulously as I know what we're like with money, we'd blow it all in Australia if we're not careful! If we end up round your way I will definitely let you know
You've travelled far more than I have so I will probably be asking your opinion anyway in a years time!
Today I have:-
- Lunch from stores
- Charged phone via pc
- Heating off as long as possible & on low when needed, lots of layers on to keep warm.
- Checked if gift card from Swagbucks is ready - it's not

- Checked online banking
- Checked for new mystery shopping opportunities
- Entered a comp
- Put gifts bought in sale away ready for next year
- Did some decluttering & flylady
- Checked ebay, no new watchers & no bids

- Got some bits from Mr T's, stuck to list
- Baked some cakes & made some spring rolls ready for our new year's eve party tomorrow, so won't be rushing around like a headless chicken hopefully!
Hope everyone had a great, MSE day x:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57
