M and S voucher - food ideas please

I've been given a £50 M and S voucher and want to use it for everyday things, food and so on to keep my spending down this month.
I'm a big Aldi fan so never go to M and S for anything, but want to try some of their offers and wondered what anyone would recommend. Things I can freeze or everyday eating is best, don't want party food. I've heard that their meals in or whatever they're called can be good, but would be glad of other ideas. There's one of me so that kind of offer would split over 2 or 3 meals.
Do M and S do whoopsies? If so, what time is best? I really don't know/use the shop at all so any advice would be great - it must be several years since I went there and have certainly never bought food. Thanks

Personally I would check with M&S customer services to see if you can only spend whole pounds or not. It would be annoying to buy a reduced price item for 30p and lose the 70p if you didn't need to.
Also, why use a £50 voucher to buy reduced price and ordinary stuff ? You could get whole Oakham chickens to freeze and roast during the year, and lots of nice preserves to cheer up ordinary toast.
I would suggest doing a recce around and seeing exactly what they have in your nearest M&S food halls. At leasr then you have a clearer idea of what you could buy.0 -
The vouchers are generally on cards now, so no issue with spending part pounds.0

M&S do really good reductions, apparently starting around 4.30pm but they seem to do them all day in my local store. I'd definitely be doing what you're planning, why not get as much for your £50 as you can ?Hardened spendthrift learning the phrase "every penny really does count"

Percy Pig sweets are lush, not much of a meal though. ;-)Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

I reccomend the meat and fish they do in the 3 for £10 range, the flat iron steaks are gorgeous, the hot and spicy chicken, and the seed dusted fish fillets (lemon sole of haddock usually) are fab! If you have a paper voucher, any change will be put onto a gift card for you, so you dont need to spend whole pounds. If you look at the moment there are some good Xmas joints / roasts reduced. I would also recommend looking on the shelves for any red labels as my local m&s has lots of cupboard items reduced at the moment! Happy shopping!0

our m and s have reduced things all the time - I went in one Saturday, forgot I was on the park and ride and came out loaded up with reduced stuff which i had to drag back across town.'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

BB34 just beat me to it! I thoroughly recommend the dusted & lightly seeded haddock fillets but I only buy when 3 for £10. I prefer the haddock to the sole by the way. And watch out for cooking/pasta sauces, they often have the odd variety or two on offer at half price."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Thank you everyone for the great ideas, looks as though I'm in for a treat. I'd love to spend more on something a bit special, but I really need to get the most for this £50, it's such an unexpected gift and will help out so much this difficult month.

Find out when they are doing the next Dine In for £10 which can be a bit of a treat. They always have some kind of special deal on, so it's a matter of finding out which ones suit you best.0

If you have 3 or 4 people to feed - sometimes the meal deals include a whole chicken (raw or ready to eat) and a pie - bramley apple or apple and blackberry. Just need to get another portion of veg and there you go0
