An appeal is always possible and paypal/ebay can request (and do) to see the actual receipt/proof of posting, that shows the address. My work colleague won an appeal that way for an INR (she was the buyer) as seller was unable to show that the tracking number related in any way to an item being sent to her address.

I have not noticed the address of the person i am sending the item to being on the receipt.

But i never really bothered looking that closely. Its posted i have a receipt end of.

I just need to make sure i do everything right for this one item i need to return.

I have opened a paypal dispute. Hopefully i did it right.

It was a few months ago and in my colleague's case she said it was Royal mail and that does show the address clearly either on the orange slip (for recorded) or the silver slip for special.

Many years ago I was told on the phone by paypal that in one instance I needed to scan and upload the address bit of an item sent by International signed for- but that was a slightly 'muddy' issue and it got complicated.
