accidental damage

bought a item from ideal which i part paid using capital one card but unfortunately daughter dropped causing screen to crack.
called capital one to ask about purchase protection and they i wasn't covered but have looked at their website and it says i am covered but i don't know if it for accidental damage
can anyone please help?

I may be able to help here! i recently made a post about my iphone 5 having a cracked screen which i made the purchase with my capital one world card, it was not apparently obvious that i had purchase protection which is something you have to check first, anyway after filing a claim with Genworth (not capital one) who dealt with the insurance aspects for capital one they paid out to my surprise without much hassle at all, infact all settled in a week!
I wasn't asked whether i had house insurance either, the main t&c was that it had to be under 100 days and with a proof of card statement showing payment!0
