... have looked at their website and it says i am covered but i don't know if it for accidental damage...
Capital One offer a range of CCs. I see that their top one does offer "Purchase protection insurance", but it definitely is not the case for all their cards.0 -
The terms are here:- http://www.capitalone.co.uk/web/images/pdf/purchase_policy.pdf
You don't say how much was put on the card - 50%, 20% of be purchase price? The gotcha is that this percentage is all they'll pay out.
Neither do you say what the item was, but if shown in Section 8, you'll be unable to claim for those items.0 -
You spelled accidental correctly, both times:Dmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
How long ago was the item purchased?
Many of these card related purchase protection will only kick in if your house ins will not cover the damage.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

It was £50 off a final price of £2000

I dont understand.Isn't Purchase Protection intended for faulty or damaged items where the damage was caused by the manufacturer or the retailer?
In your case, the damage was caused after you've bought the item,so I'd guess only an insurance policy would cover it?0 -

so even if they would £50 less £25 would be paidDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
