Is it that hard to quote what it says or just to post a link?

Capital One offer a range of CCs. I see that their top one does offer "Purchase protection insurance", but it definitely is not the case for all their cards.

    The terms are here:- http://www.capitalone.co.uk/web/images/pdf/purchase_policy.pdf

You don't say how much was put on the card - 50%, 20% of be purchase price? The gotcha is that this percentage is all they'll pay out.

Neither do you say what the item was, but if shown in Section 8, you'll be unable to claim for those items.

I dont understand.Isn't Purchase Protection intended for faulty or damaged items where the damage was caused by the manufacturer or the retailer?

In your case, the damage was caused after you've bought the item,so I'd guess only an insurance policy would cover it?

    I dont understand.
It's really not that difficult. Click the link in post #3 and read the T&Cs for the card in question.

so even if they would £50 less £25 would be paid
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
