Well.... small queue outside my local store at 8:30 when they opened, all very friendly and civilised.. the aisle the sale stuff was on was quite tight especially when some people had trollies blocking it up.
Generally good natured and no pushing or shoving although a couple of fools grabbing four of everything they saw piling the trolley high - later saw them at the end of an aisle at the back of the shop sorting what they did and didn't actually want - I guess most of it got dumped back somewhere in the end.
As I left following a second shop (couldn't carry everything in a basket the first time but didn't go mad) at 8:50 there was still loads left, anyone turning up then rather than 8:30 would still have been able to get anything that anyone earlier on could have got.
Hope everyone else got what they wanted...
Big question now is, if the discount was dropped from 75% to 70% this year, what are the chances it will drop to 65% next year?A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

Well done, Bluewater was crazy , store opened at 9 but by that time the where was rather long, got most of what I wanted but still missed the sanctuary big set

Drove to Chatham for opening at 8.00, was second one there, then only about 10 people outside when open. Was friendly and civilised too. Got carried away and got far more than i intended to get, but always come in handy. Bit of a struggle going upstairs to car park as dont like lifts, but managed it. :j Now for a nice cup of tea:coffee:0

Pleased with my shop , much less stock than last year, but civilised and only 2 people ahead of me to pay.

Arrived at 7:45 to about 6 people one of whom had been there since 7am !
Having heard about the chaos in some places last year pleased to report it was civilised - I got what I wanted and some which I didn't know I wanted.
Thanks all0 -
I didn't go to my biggest store, went to the next biggest, which I have always found to be far more civilised, and this morning was no exception.
I got there just as the doors were opening at 8am, about a dozen people ahead of me, and although there were 3 or 4 couples clearly working in tandem (piling stuff into big bags at the end of the aisles), the shelves weren't being cleared by the armful, and I got everything I wanted, printed off my acm vouchers, and had paid, all within 15 minutes. I had a £5 off £30 spend tillspit, so made sure my pressies (from my list and a couple of bits for me lol) came to just over £30 - that way, although its 70% off, I actually got just over 75% off.
Glad I went to this store this year - as I popped into my usual 2 small stores afterwards and one of them had no sale items at all, the other only had White Stuff hand duo that I wanted. I didn't even bother with the bigger store in town last year, so things have obviously changed for the smaller stores this time round.
For the first time ever I made an online order too - checked out first time with paypal successfully when I woke up just before 7am, and had my confirmation email by 9am.
I've had a successful Bootsing morning - lovely!0 -

Yeah - none of the smaller stores had anything round here either.
Had a successful morning too - it was a real stampede but relatively civilised. Annoying though that some people didn't bother with the orderly queue and just made a quick entrance when the doors opened.
Still, got most of what I wanted and a bit more to boot.
