Boots 75% Sale

I guess I'm lucky, my MetroCentre store is really big and last year the staff worked tirelessly throughout the day bringing out more and more stock.

I went for opening, then went back :eek: at lunch time with a friend and saw them bringing out cages of extra stock.

We then went for a coffee and as we passed again, still more cages were being brought out.

I think this is perhaps also symptomatic of retailers buying in less stock as well - thus there is less to sell off.

My Boots today still had lots of stock - I bought the last Soap and Glory set and some bath bombs, but I am to waiting for the 75% off. There was LOADS of the big Soap and Glory sets (£60) reckon these will be in the 75% sale or not?

I got quite a few bits in the 75% sale last year.

Must admit I have never seen the logic behind the way they do their sale.
Out of stock on-line at 50% off, but stores full of stock 3 weeks later at 75% off.

Which is great if you can get to the shops on the day, but very annoying if you cannot.

I am off work on the suggested Wednesday, but suffer with claustrophobia, so will give it a miss I think.

I'm thinking of paying a visit to a couple of the big Glasgow stores this week, maybe pick up a few bits at 50% and have a nosy as to where things are for the 75% when it comes! Last year i got to the Hamilton stores and on speaking to the staff was told that there were queues there from around 8am before opening and by the time i got there about 12 there wasn't really a lot left to choose from. THink i will leave the baby at home and venture into town myself on the mega wednesday in question!!! I'm still excited! mo x

If people read the thread they will find out the date is not yet known, but others do have knowledge of when it has been in previous years.

Last year there was nothing decent left in my local large store (Eldon Square) when it hit 75% off.
