Hi,
My endowment policy matures in,april 13. I repaid my mortgage about 10 years ago but kept the policy running for investment purposes. When i reviewed this a few years later i still kept it running as husband was diag with cancer so we thought it prudent to keep it on for the insurance aspect. Glad to say i haven't had to use it for that purpose but am now wondering what our life assurance options are once endowment ends
We both have life assurance through work but want something that doesnt depend on that. I am 49, he is 56. Im worried that we will need to declare his previous history with cancer and both of us will be declined.
Any advice most welcome

An honest declaration will be required and that will make getting cover difficult.
Do you actually need new life cover?
Could you stick the maturity proceeds somewhere safe and use them as a form of self-insurance?0 -
Hi
Thanks for that - will be looking at what to do with the investment in January.
I think i will need to look at life insurance cover for us seperately.
Its a shame that husbands brush with cancer spoils our joint options financially - even though he now has excellent health.
