    ** waves to all **

I've not reported in on challenges for a few days, but I've still been working on them.

3rd Jan was an NSD - taking me up to 2 :T

4th Jan I thought was an NSD - until I checked my latest water bill yesterday and realised the DD for that's been going out on 4th, and had done so as normal :(

5th Jan was a Saturday, and that's a day I've allowed for grocery spending. Couldn't decide which of 2 mince based meals to make for OH and me for tea (one of which required a 32p purchase), and was also short on bread for sandwiches (which I wouldn't actually need until today or tomorrow). So I decided that if there was any decent Whoopsied bread in Mr M I'd buy that and what I needed for the mince meal, if not then I'd skip buying bread and we'd have the mince meal that didn't require a purchase. No decent whoopsied bread, so it became NSD #3 :)

6th Jan which is today. Not been anywhere, not going anywhere in the next half hour before the shops shut, and not doing any on-line shopping - so I'm now on NSD #4 :T :T

Tomorrow will be a spend day as I need a few grocery items (as well as the bread) so that I can batch book meals for taking to work on Wed, Thur and Fri. I have two metal food flasks I use for carrying this around - a 500ml one for homemade soup for my first 15 minute break, and a 1 litre one for a stew/casserole type meal for my half hour break (though I sometimes take a sandwich or cold pasta and sauce with fish or chicken or ham instead). Then I take fruit for my second 15 minute break.

Planned to go to the cheap cinema club this morning with DD but she didn't fancy it so we just pottered around at home.

Aww Happy Birthday ETO! :rotfl:I hope you're day has been enjoyable. Haha it's always the way to drag the man out. I'm due March and had to drag the OH pram shopping yesterday. ;)

I had #NSD 2 yesterday and today is #NSD 3! I've been moseying around at home today, getting ready to go back to school tomorrow. Only 6 weeks of work left until Maternity leave starts! Eeek!

    Grabbed No 3 today!

I actually did spend money to go ice skating with DD, but it was in the budget and 'ring fenced' so I don't count it as a spend.

Tomorrow everyone goes back to school, which is great - they'll all be taking packed lunches and I plan to stay in mainly so with luck my money will stay in my wallet!
    Trying to keep in budget.

This is the third time I've tried to report NSD 4. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but every time I click post my internet connection goes off. It's being replaced in a month but I just hope it lasts that long.
Back to work tomorrow - not particularly looking forward to that to be honest, particularly the 6am get up. Boo.

    Good evening folks,

I am just popping in to declare NSD4 for today please:D. I have had a pretty good weekend, although they go so quickly these days:(. I hope everyone is well, as I haven't yet had a chance to catch up on the posts. Am sending hugs to anyone who needs them.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Happy birthday EvertheOptimist - hope your OH gets back soon and then we will all be looking forward to the arrival of a NSD gang baby! And Floella, too! Another spring babe!

Igor is busy rifling through his cookbook collection for christening cake recipes, and has asked me to find out if any more NSD babes are expected this spring so he knows how big a cake to make.

(Yes, it's a fruit cake, Igor. Well. I suppose you could put pineapple and grapefruit in it, but leave out the pips this time, please. And the rind. Yes, you could put nuts in it - but make sure you remove the shells first. No. not a whole coconut. Yes, flour. Plain flour with a bit of baking powder. No, not cauliflower with powdered bacon....at this rate, Igor, you will be the only one eating it. And Hubert, of course....)
