Advice needed please! Went to Audley End House today with mother, DS and DS's gf, as she is going back to Finland early tomorrow and we took her to her B&B near Stansted Airport. I expected to pay for us all to get into the gardens, a cost of around £40.00.
When we got there, the nice lady asked if I would prefer to join English Heritage for £47.00 for 15 months instead of paying that day's admission fee! I agreed it is worth it, as me and DS are always looking for places to visit with the dog at weekends, so I signed up for a direct debit. BUT, the DD won't come out of my bank until at least a few weeks, so in actual fact, I didn't part with any money today! Does it count???
Mum paid for lunch, which was great. All in all, a good day out, apart from the GF was in bits when we had to leave her...Bless :A2013 NSD challenge 3/100 -
I don't think today counts as an nsd,as a friend kindly popped round with some shopping and I paid her with some of next week's grocery budget money.
poohbear59 and Modesty B thanks,my back is a bit better today.
beanie sounds like you need a hot toddy.Hope you manage to knock it on the head.
anxious_mum personally I always count the day that the purchase was made.Of course if you do that, then don't count the day that the money's taken out of your account...;)
Hope you're all having a good weekend!0 -

Well yesterday I ended up spending £3 on birthday cards (got 1 free thanks to M&S free card for every 6 you buy thing) So stocked up on cards til mid Feb. Today was NSD #3 and made a few ££'s on a Facebook sale.
All in all this thread is already making me thinking about my spending & when I do have to get my purse out I am really trying hard to keep it to a minimum. This week only spent £16 including grocery shopping for 6!
Thank you all for motivating me so much. :-)0 -
Welcome back Nargle - happy 2013 (oh and sorry about that errrr, stain on the carpet at Ennessdee towers - Igor's sprout punch had a nasty reactive quality to it
)
Well today wasn't a NSD - went out for dinner with my OH, DB, SIL and DM. We bought the drinks and DM paid for dinner - with the help of a 20% off coupon from me it came to £33 for 5 of usThanks mummy :kisses3:
Sewing box I ordered is OOS until mid-march but the company have said they'd honour the sale price so I said I'd wait for the order.
Not sure what tomorrow will hold, have some things to return but can't promise there won't be any spends eitherGood job I'm back at boot camp on Mon to keep me out the shops!

I didn't spend today so I have 3 NSD today.
I did a meal planner and went food shopping with Daddy Rivett, he pays for all shopping bills and I pay all the utillities as I have a salary and he is self employed and sometimes the weather doesn't permit him working.
I wrote out my first ever shopping list. I knew that dishwasher tablets were on special and I made sure that all the food was either basics which we actually prefer. The trolley was full and Daddy Rivett looked at me and said this is going to be expensive £80 at least.
The total shop with the dishwasher tablets and a multipack of Andrex came to £54.00 we were given £1.41 brand match coupon for next time and enough food for all breakfast, packed lunches and dinners. This was the cheapest shop in a long time, he was so impressed.

Yet another NSD for me today!!
That's NSD 5/15 for me and meeting my target of 5 in a row...
I thought i'd have to spend £2 on my hotpicks for today (it would be just my luck that my numbers would come out if not :rotfl:) But I made a deal with the stepdad last night, I traded a Kopperberg cider for him putting them on for me, so £2/a NSD saved, haha
I've now not spent a penny since last Saurday!!

Uniongirl – Welcome to the NSD challenge. :T I have put you on the front page with your target of 10.
And you are up to NSD #3 already. :T I think you are going to be brilliant at this.
Sorry, don't know how to quote posts.
Thank you, don't know about brilliant - more like lucky so far.
No NSDs this weekend, but I knew that to be the case. Pets at Home had sale for cat food so got £10.50 off and do my weekly food shopping on a Sunday so looking forward to Monday to catch another oneAs my Mum always said "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves"0
