On an aside, as i live in Cornwall so have been unscathed with the recent weather, i hope everyone else is ok.
I think it was only us in East Cornwall the was effected by the snow. I know that 20mins away, they had no snow at all on Friday, where as we had quite a bit0 -

A very puzzled Nargleblast here. The front page has me down for 8 NSDs, but I know I posted having achieved 9 yesterday! All right you lot, turn yer pockets out - who nicked my NSD????? (Igor? are you using my NSD to stir the porridge?)
Joking aside, a shame-faced Nargle has to confess that today was not a NSD after all. I meant to leave shopping till tomorrow but the resident cats were looking at me with their huge soulful eyes. Their automatic cat feeder was nearly out of food. I had to go to the local shop and get more supplies. At least it means I don't have to go out tomorrow.
So I will get my target, just a day later than planned. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Evening all,
Hope you are all wrapped up and sitting out the snow in comfort! We're having a cold snap here too - supposed to be down to 2 degrees tonight
Declaring NSD#10 for today so very pleased with that. I had a lovely day and the first day of my working week went by in the flash. Tomorrow is another busy day and I don't think I'll have chance to do anything other than go to work and run the DC to their activities.
Enjoy the rest of your day.CC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Loving the banter on here on a Sunday afternoon. We walked to Mr S today got some bulk buys too ironically as we had no van. Anyway we stuck to the list and with bulk buys stayed under£55 for the weeks shopping, we may not need so much this week. So Mummy Rivett's budget is really working out for Daddy Rivett, so far this month we have saved £103 on the shopping bill, not thrown any waste out and not had one take away, we didn't even eat out when we went to the museum of childhood.
Daddy Rivett said, 'could we carry on living like this after we have paid off our debts? I could save loads of money and get stuff we need like a deposit for the house.'. I smiled, as this was my idea, but I never mentioned it before as I didn't want to push anything. As it's his idea we shall be sticking too it.
I had a go at making pastry, it came out well, I've also made my own batter for Yorkshire Puddings this afternoon. I think the Gypsy Tart has gone a bit runny, it went everywhere in the oven, but it may harden when cooled, fingers crossed.
Like everyone else, it is snowing thick, heavy and fast here in Greenwich, I think I'm going to have to leave early in the morning for work, it is a bit hazardous on our pavements and we live on top of a very steep hill.
I wish you luck rising from the ashes, what a week to start back at work.
As Daddy Rivett pays for the food bill again today is a NSD for me, so I am on 18 NSD in total. I really have got into the habit of this, in fact I dote only thing I've brought this month is my "Two Soups" overall, the rest has just been the household Direct Debits. If I carry on like this I may have my debt paid up before December. Thanks to everyone on this thread, you have been such an encouragement, motivation and inspiration.- MSE Forum Achievements:

Today is going to be my NSD#2. I have just subscribed having been a 'reader' on this thread for a few days. Signing up to the thread has really inspired me today so I've fixed up my energy monitor that's been lying around waiting to be used; sorted out more clothes for the 'cash for clothes' depot up the road and put some bits and bobs on a local selling site.
Its snowing here too so might not be able to cash in my clothes tomorrow if the roads are bad but if they are okay then I will do!
Tomorrow will be a spend day as Mondays are my food shop day but I've taken that into account in my 'spends'. If that's the case, if I don't spend any more tomorrow, does that count as a NSD or not? I am bit confused with the finer details as I have DD's that go out on different days of the month too (my 'essentials') so do they count towards NSD if again I spend nothing else?
I hope someone can clarify for me? Also, my energy meter is saying my electric is running at 4p/per hour, that's got to be good, right??On target for mortgage freedom September 20230 -
