Not a NSD today, had forgotten squash when shopping at the weekend. Only £1.49 spent but a spend day nonetheless.
Bit miffed as I got a rejection letter this morning. Didn't even get an interview for a job I could do in my sleep. Guess it's my age but quite miffed all the same. Still, thankful I have a job even though I hate it at the mo.
Kids at school were mad today, every flake of snow and off they went. I've got a sore throat from shouting now. Think it's time for a glass of wine. :beer:0 -

Hi all,
didn't manage a nsd today, it was going well until i had to get a taxi to the hospital out reach centre.
My OH couldn't take me as he was on a job, the irony of it all was OH phoned me just as i arrived at the centre and phoned to ask where i was. Have to say the taxi driver was lovely and went mad with the office or sending me a mini-bus instead of a cab. He helped in and out of the cab and to the front entrance, the fare was £4.20 so i gave him the 80p. I know its only a small amount but at least he can put it towards a cup of tea.
It was a total waste of time, i basically sat while there while this specialist GP said well there's nothing i can do, you have muscular atrophy and osteoarthritis. Er yep well how do i get rid of it and why did it happen in the first place. Answers no idea to both of them, just told me to rest and take painkillers. Hopefully the orthopedics will see now at the main hospital.
thanks for asking about my sister, at the moment she's fine, walking about, she's keeps calling me a penguin. So i called her jack sparrow yesterday. Don't worry it's all in jest between us.

(Igor, "bashed neeps" means just roughly mashed - you will not be needing the mallet. Or the boxing gloves.)
gosh I remember mouse trap - and the cage. it was always mildly disappointing that it just wasn't like the TV adverts.marmiterulesok wrote: »
nargle glad to see that Igor and co. are getting their party hats on.I've got a spare bottle of extra-special deluxe turnip whisky (yes,really...) that should liven things up a bit...:D
Liven things up a bit? I'm not sure that's necessary marmite, last year I recall Jinty took 'the highland fling' quite literally and neither she nor David Tennant have been seen since :rotfl::rotfl:
ETO - great news about hubby coming back early :j
Well weekend deff not NSD-friendly, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Hobbit on Sat night, my new joggers are toasty warm and I did my bit for the economy whilst having a lovely day in the sales with my mum yesterday. Didn't actually spend a great deal when I think about it - new bag which I did 'need' as my current one is tied together with stringHowever, I have seen a pair of shoes I like (actually DM was trying them on otherwise I wouldn't have looked at them ) and a pair of gorgeous boots but couldn't see them in my size and the store was closing - very tempted to go back this weekend
However on the upside, today as NSD #6 :A and even though it was snowing still went to boot camp:A:A
poor OH seems to have finally caught the lurgi that's going round, REALLY hoping I don't get it as well but might be unavoidable the way he's sneezing :(:(Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
