Just noticed Currys has S3 for 399. Anyone know of possibilities for casback with this and what the warranty period is?

    I have a sim-only £5.21 a month with 1GB data, 200 mins (enough for me) and 5000 texts (5.21 x 24 + 399) totally £524 over two years. I think your deal would cost me a bit more over two years - (26 x 24 + 99 = £723)

  • 1GB plus wifi. Do you think that would be enough?

Any ideas on Currys and cashback and warranty?
  • Ok, just come off the phone with a manager at Currys.

Apparently 1 year warranty with Currys but once you register the phone after purchase with Samsung you get a 2 year warranty. So should anything go wrong in the first year, you can go back to Currys or Samsung, anything go wrong in the second year, Samsung.

I wonder how come Asda has a 2 year warranty straight from purchase.

I have an S3 with 1gb data allowance, and have found it to be more than enough. I use wifi where possible, and have never gone over 700mb of data usage, and i am quite a heavy user

Thats all well & mighty jen but alot of apps on a smartyphones can use data in the background even when not being used, more apps = more usage + 1GB = not so smartphone/user = high bill !

I am yet to use more than 200mb a month, but I imagine some people can use many times that a month.

If you set your apps to only sync over wifi, keep an eye on usage, and set up the phone correctly then 1gig is easily enough. I have wifi at home and work which helps a lot.
