didn't want to clutter the board with more threads and going over old ground with this one I'm certain but it's late, I just finished work and too kyboshed to trawl the threads.
it's this: our old mates over at APCOA, trying to get one over mrs toronto at a railway station (nothing about byelaws on the 'ticket'). same old guff about £80 reduced to £50 in 14 days, etc.
no attempt to scam the scammers here; charge paid via mobile and email evidence. mandatory stuff re POPLA on the 'ticket', along with the insistence that all appeals be directed to APCOA in first instance.
I'm not happy.
I don't want to appeal to APCOA; who the ***k are they (or any other PPC) to sit in judgement? besides, I'm not seeing any evidence that PPC appeals processes have significantly improved since POFA (prove me wrong, of course).
no, I'd much rather ignore what I still see as a discredited appeals process and head off to POPLA (dvla fee + £27.50/vat, anyone?).
any cunning, baldrick-type plans to circumvent APCOA's 'appeals' nonsense most welcome.
you'll have to excuse me; there's a flagon of belgian beer giggling at me from the fridge.

There is none you have to go through their sham appeal, you can't go to popla without the code they give you. Just send them something denying all liability etc and ask for the code, they must give it within 35 days or allow the appeal, if they miss the 35 day deadline it's game over for them. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

You forget the most important bit. You have paid and are aggrieved that you have got an invoice aka "fine". so appeal to them and when its been rejected go to popla. This will cost them £27.plus vat. Payback.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

As others have said, to get to POPLA and cost the PPC ££ you have to pass GO first.
That means appealing - or what APCOA will see and treat as an appeal.
Why not word it as a complaint and copy in the Train Operator too. No need for use of the word 'appeal' of course, to this bunch.
I also recall some APCOA threads on pepipoo where some breaches of the BPA CoP were seen on the ticket. Did they call it an 'Enforcement Notice'?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
sorry for not getting back earlier -busy working.
no, coupon. nothing about 'enforcement' - which is a shame.
down the appeal road, then. looking forward to throwing in a rubbish appeal before gangnamming off to POPLA.0
