i saw a man in tesco buy all the reduced price chicken - then throw it in the bin outside.just passing through.... Nothing to see....0

I saw a lady this evening in Tesco putting everything from the reduced section into her trolley as it was being done. She was blocking out three or four other people who wanted to look. She took the whole lot - a small trolley full to the brim. When I got to the checkout, she was in front of me. She'd bought loads of salad and stir fries amongst other things. It's going to be some midnight feast in her house tonight!0

In our sainsburys on Xmas Eve I saw a woman grab almost everything that was being reduced from the meat section and pass it all to her husband standing behind her. She was literally snatching it from the person doing the reductions hands and off the trolley he was using.
Then, they both moved round the corner and proceeded to rifle through it sorting out the best and what they wanted to keep and what they didn't and then put the rest back down on the butter shelves and walked away!0 -
these people really anoy me too!! i do like to pop round and see if there is anything worth having but if i see a crowd of the usual whoopsie hoarders hanging around i dont even bother.
there is one lady who i think must visit a lot of the supermarkets as i have seen her in my local tesco with a trolley full of whoopsies and when i have been shopping with my mum in her local tesco about 5 miles away i saw her there too :eek:0 -

That combined with someone loading about 20 packs of reduced going-off-the-same-day chicken kievs into her trolley which was already brimming full with yellow stickered bread and people pushing each other around to get at a few manky sandwiches...urgh, what is wrong with people?
I know times are hard and I appreciate things can be frozen etc but I really do think the whoops section brings out the proper scummy nature of certain people. No manners, no thought. Just greed.
I usually go to the reduced section to see what I can get for dinners that can be frozen. Great way to save a lot of money! What I don't do is push or grab. Can't stand when people do that! It surely can't be that important?
PS. £70 worth of food for £25 in Morrisons on the 23rd£5 all in for the Christmas dinner for me and my husband!

It is a shambles because supermarkets should sell their goods at this price to begin with. If we were not being ripped off and forced to believe these discounts are real, people would not push and shove for them.
Thats very much like saying 'If PC world can have a sale selling HP laptops at £300 when they are £500 the rest of the year then why aren't they always £300?' That's business, if people are silly enough to pay the £500 price then clearly they would be stupid not to charge that.0 -
I used to work in a Sainsbury's in the city centre. Every night, an hour before closing, the usual suspects would show up and lurk. If I was doing the final reductions (about 10pm anything in the whoops section went down to 5 or 10p. The reduced items would have been reduced by 50% at around 7pm) I would end up getting quite annoyed as these guys came up with baskets full of reduced price stuff they'd collected a while earlier and now wanted reducing to 5/10p. They'd be thrusting it under my nose shouting "reduce this next".
I was once told "hurry up and f*cking reduce this or I'll smack you." I mean seriously, an attitude like that, and it was over a pack of dubious looking chicken thighs. It's amazing the attitude some people get over some cheap food!
Should have gone to the manager and ask them to have been removed from the building for at least that night if not everDon't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
