Help me get through the next 4 months!

Options
Ok, so I am a single mum, working full time. Since my ex stopped paying child maintenance everything has become a big struggle, and will be until April (when I get a little payrise and a few other things I'm paying for stop). I am determined to keep out of debt during this difficult period so need to stick to a strict budget....

So, I have £130 to feed myself and 2 kids until the end of January! I'm just wondering what cheap (but not junk!) dinners, snacks, and lunch box ideas people out there have?

Thanks in advance!

  • Can I suggest the Old Style Board and this website http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/ as great places to start.

I admire your strength, courage and determination.
Your will is acting as the best food for you and your precious ones!

Make sure you buy organic products, fruits and vegetables that last longer in the fridge. As you probably have noticed so far most of the cheap ones rot in a couple of days unnaturally .
Lots of milk and cereal is a healthy and cheap solution.
Orientate to Mediterranean cuisine recipes that are easy to cook and proven to be the healthiest worldwide.
With a good organizing along the week you could probably have spare money to get some ice cream too!

Good luck and keep a positive energy!
after all you all feed each other everyday in multiple ways!
