absolutely shocking, its only about money and the only people making anything out of it are the justice system workers, do the kids benefit ??0

abu quatar gets millions in legal aid, why should a parent be denied legal aid ???0

shoe*diva - 'As of April 2013 legal aid will not be allowed for family law matters', this is going to cause major problems and major diversity, contact orders simple in theory, more or less impossible in practice - this country goes further and further down the drain xx0

Maybe it wil. Maybe it wont. £200 isnt A huge amount of money and courts are coming down harder and harder on PWC who break contact orders (both male and female) so I cant see why it would create to many problems.
To be fair with my experience of contact orders (am going through the process now and have court on 8th Jan) its very simple and no solicitor is needed. But then our case is straightforward,0 -

£200 is a lot of money when you havent got enough money to even cover your bills...0 -

but every time the order is broken, there is more fees to go back to court....
its not going to be a one time thing... is it?
also, the contact order your going through, are you the nrp or pwc on this case?
i think you'll find its harder for the nrp side of things...0 -
Out of curiosity, the mother is now starting to tell the dad that he must start buying clothes etc for the child when he visits as she will not be putting things into a bag/suitcase any more when he stays for weekends. Is it unreasonable to expect her to do this? The father is scraping through as it is without the additional expense of buying a 2nd lot of things for his son.0

if father is paying CSA payments it is HER responsibility to cloth the child.
feeding the child whilst in the care of NRP i feel is the responsibility of NRP... (and is seen as such by the 1/7 reductions)...
if she fails to provide clothes on visits, contact social services that a mother is failing to provide for the childs needs... (the csa wont be interested) - and the social services dept will outline pretty much this as well... clothing falls to the PWC... - hence costs via the CSA...
my ex tried to also do this when csa got involved. to which i sent a letter to her solicitor stating that as PWC it is her responsibility to provide the day to day living costs... which includes clothing my son.
needless to say, clothes appeared in bags afterwards...
and the same happened when clothes turning up with were old / ripped / etc... she soon went out and bought some new clothes... (a call from childrens dept at social services does tend to prompt a rethink, even if social services state they cant do anything.... they will always call up....0 -

Is there currently an order for contact...?
If there is, and the PWC is breaching this order then go back to court, if it is an agreement in writing, but no court order, make an application to court, if there is nothing, then again make an application and get as much evidence as you can of previous contact for overnight stays...
Contact that is not overnight is still YOUR responsibility, even though you would not be expected to provide clothing you are still expected to pay for food etc, so think of it that you are paying twice...! I always made sure i have something by way of spare clothes, and nappies at a younger age, then if it was not provided, and i don't mean intentionally, but PWC can be as absent minded as the rest of us, then you can cope with no drama...
Do not get into an argument over anything until you know exactly where you stand... And while this may not be what you want to hear, if you have a reduction, for overnights, then legally you are already given a discount to provide for the child/ren on these days, so while it is petty and wrong of the PWC to take this course, if you can be an adult about it, put it to one side and don't bite, any action you take further down the road will show as her being the trouble maker...
Try to do everything regarding contact by email, text or letter, email is my favourite as it is very easy to print for a judge in court, should it be required...
But good luck and stay calm...!0
