I started doing surveys in earnest middle of last year. I also do a few other things to earn a few extra £ or vouchers too.

I do Mysurvey, and last year I got £93 and since I cashed out in December I'm now up to £15 again.

I also started a couple of months ago doing survey friends, just had £10 voucher from them.

Valued opinions I also do and have about £14 pending so far from them.

Been doing shopandscan too and started in May last year. I have £70 to claim as yet.

Topcash back I've got £116 to claim as and when I need it.

I also do some mystery shopping for a couple of companies and make sure I always do shops in places I was already going to (so as not to incur extra costs) and have made £194 since June 12 plus kept the purchases too for some places.

I do mystery dines too and have been doing them for a few years. On average I get about £90 a month of free meals.

So far then that works out to be about £132 in surveys, £380 from shopping and have saved about £1080 from free meals out.

So yes, either making or saving £1 a day is definitely possible!

But you can't do a shift at McDonalds while your watching TV or on a boring tele-conference. ;)

Some of us that do the surveys are not able to work and these are a fab way to help with things like xmas. I paid for the whole of this xmas just gone with vouchers from survey sites. I dnt have kids or anything but they do add up. I do not have the luxury of just doing a shift in macdonalds wish i did but I can do these from my bed  and feel like I am achieving something. I am saving for some GHD's on amazon atm. Up to £49 since dec :-) x

I think that is mostly the point we can do it sat on bums with the tv on in free time :-)

When I can work I am going to still keep a lot of them on been impressed with how much I have been able to add up over time. It's paying for little extras :-)

I want to get into the mystery shopping etc when I am a bit better, that will have to be when the docs say I am ok to do part time work and move onto jobseekers though :-) I dnt have big goals lol.

Hi Phoenixrising21, shop and scan can be found here

    http://www.shopandscan.com/index.asp

Basically they give you a barcode reader and in return for scanning everything you buy and downloading it and sending it to them once a week, along with receipts if you have them, they give you points which you can exchange for a variety of vouchers. It's really easy and simple to do and once you get into the habit of doing it it takes no time at all. They also send questionnaire every few months which also gain you extra points. Over Xmas and New Year they offered triple points too, which was great.
  • Has anyone else filled in the 'volunteer4panels' questionnaire on the shop and scan page and had no answer? I've filled it in twice or maybe three times now over 6 months and nothing. Should I give up.? .. I'm starting to feel like a love pest lol.

    Domino9 you are most welcome.

Fallen behind on the challenge at the moment. Got an interview at work for my own job (to move from agency to perm), so have spent lunchtimes refreshing my knowledge of company procedures (it is amazing how much you gorget after 20 months in the job). Still, got an email confirming an interview time for Friday afternoon, so will more than make-up the survey losses through 1.75 hours overtime.

Doing a bit better with my surveys challenge now -

Signed up to populous through earnsko.co.uk and signed up to one site which paid me £2 for 10 minutes - that's £12 an hour - which is really good. Happy with that.:-)
Signed up to Kachoww through earnsko as well and they give £2 for every referral i make - and 3 of my friends have signed up so that's at least another £6 I've made when they get paid for the first time.

I'm getting the hang of it now.
Also sold some stuff on ebay, so might treat myself tomorrow ....Ohh what shall I buy
Oh Gosh I'm wising up to saving the pennies :j

It seems to me survey sites pay extremely low rates. Time how long it takes to fill one out and compare to what you get paid. I bet its nowhere near minimum wage (£6 per hour ish?). Might as well do a shift at mcdonalds :-)

I don't really think £6 an hour is that bad considering it can be done in my spare time from my laptop - its additional cash that I wouldn't have so I'm not complaining at all. :)
