orange, billed too much
hi,
i recently ordered a pay monthly Sim only contact for my eldest over the phone (mid nov) to add to my current contract,
i was in the middle of moving, i had to go through numerous checks with me altering my address at the same time.
after a few days i realized that it was a bad call if you pardon the pun, as the signal here is very poor, anywhere in the flat apart from stood at the living room window and you've no chance!
i eventually cancelled the order (good old orange CS!)
but noticed a week or so later the new order was on my online account? i'd never received the new Sim either.
i checked my personal details and lo and behold it was still my old address, so my guess it went there,
either way, the Sim has never been used!
my DD is due in a week, and though its just £21 (2x£10.50) i cannot afford to have orange or ee owing me it for whatever how long the decide, so Ive cancelled it and used their "make an extra payment" online service to pay my correct bill,
could i expect them to cut my service?
not too fussed if so in theory as its its awful, and I'm leaving choose what (my own contract expires may13)
but if they deem me to be at fault they'll refuse to unlock my phone then, and going on past experiences with them they'll not take it well

They won't refuse to unlock your phone. They are 2 different issues.0

Arrange the unlock immediately, before any amount becomes disputed.0

They will refuse to unlock the phone if there are any overdue bills on the account. I doubt they will do anything until the dispite is resolved either.
Have you contacted them about the situation? If so, what did they say?0 -
Don't worry about unlocking.
Most phones can be unlocked by yourself. For any that can't get an unlock code on ebay for £5.
Main thing is to get any disputes between yourself and Orange resolved. Go though dispute procedure until things are sorted or you will be continually hassled for the money.0 -
If you haven't already you need to talk to the billing dept. If they just get what they see as a 'part payment' they'll take action to recover.
If you call them and talk it over they can put a flag on your acc to stop that happening while they look into it. . .0 -
