  • Hi TinTin_57 and Lorian,

It looks to me that you are more people who has been caught up in the

issue. This is still ongoing. As others have said: keep a good record
and I recommend that you Complain.

I'm wondering if this is a common experience for all npower customers?

Yes, unfortunately there do seem to be many people affected. As you have discovered, npower have had to institute a "backlog team" to deal with this appalling mess. :(

Bradfield, your issue (next) may be related.

When there are major issues with the 'new system' it could easily impact other areas.
I'll post in your thread too.

I completed a transfer from my current supplier to Npower via quidco in early December which tracked but I have heard nothing from npower.

Went to the web site to get the telephone number but all seemed to be for an existing customer and kept requesting an account number .... but eventually found a telephone number to call.

It said wait for 45 minutes or we will call you back. I entered my number for the call back After 30 minutes received the call back ... heard a few seconds of music and they then hung up.

Seems like they don't want me ..... time to head somewhere else!

I doubt I will be looking to stay with npower when my current tariff expires. Anything that is in their price range (or below, preferably) will be a possible replacement (apart from Spark, whose CS appear to be even more dreadful than npower's).

Worse than Npower, that's a dreadful thing to say about any company, in fact I find it hard to believe that its even possible :p

The more cynical may believe they draw it out as long as possible in the hope of wringing a few extra pounds out of them!
