Are the focus's a good solid car? would be a diesel probuably he would want what MPG do you think he would get?

Also seen things on this forum about ford diesel being bad, is that the older ones or are the new ones the same?

    Thanks

Focus is a good motor at that sort of deposit. Astra would be equally good but if you ask Vauxhall about what deals are on for the Insignia at the moment. That's a helluva motor for nil deposit if you can get it.

Only thing i have seen that would put me off advising vauxhall is the electric parking brake have heard stories that they have been failing, they have even scrapped them on the 13 plate astra's.

He had also mentioned 4x4 cars but as far as i can see they all have large deposits.

My mother has a Meriva and my brother has an Insignia. No problems with the h/brake on either. If the problem's sorted then what's the worry?

What MPG. How longs a piece of string.

My Mondeo does between 26MPG and 60+ MPG.

MPG will depend on driving style and journey types.

    Take your pick.

Is the scheme worth it? I have a friend on it and he got a vw. Unsure about the cost but from a failing memory think he pays £47 per week. That is £2444 a year and for 3 years is £7332.

Now if he were to pay this money out over 4 years on a small 0% interest car, then it would be bought outright, and for the next 6 or so years be quids in? Tax, servicing and insurance not taken into account.

Also should he die, his partner will loose the car and then she still have to buy her own.
