I absolutely agree. Rest, look after yourself do nothing.
I just wanted to add though that I am presently caring for someone who has had the same surgery, refused to accept it was happening, discharged herself an hour after she woke from the surgery and went shopping. No pain relief accepted. Simply....mind over matter, she didn't accept it and so it hadn't happened!
She refuses to engage in after-services and so her life has continued. who knows?
i would certainly think that you need to rest, rest ,rest and let your body and mind recuperate at its own pace.0 -
I thought that's exactly what this holiday was designed for. I'm sitting here agog that there's even a remote possibility that we're supposed to DO anything for this ten days. Someone please tell me that's not true?? I may need a little lie down on the sofa while I cope with the shock. Eating chocolates, drinking wine and ignoring the laundry pile may help.
Seriously, relax, rest, recuperate.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -

Me too, had to get dressed earlier to meet friends for a coffee. Had they not texted and asked I would still have been in my very fetching fleecy pj's all day, as the rest of the family snoozed and recovered from the excesses of Boxing Day partying.:D
Am back in said PJ's now though.0
