Hi there I am looking at getting my mum a broadband connection- I have already looked at the quick link re cheap broadband but wanted to know whether anyone knew any other deals out there which may be better given the circumstances- she currently has a BT basic landline for which she pays £14.40 per quarter. As she has a mobile with unlimited landlines she doesn't incur any additonal costs on her landline.

What is the cheapest interent provider i can get for her- speed won't be an issue as mostly she'll be using it to skype, check emails and occassionally bbc iplayer or its like.

Thanks

Broadband is exchange specific, check on Samknows as to what her LLU options are as these will be cheaper than resold BT products.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Subject to the above, the newly launched Plusnet Essentials at £5.99 (unless she's on a Market 1 exchange) is about as cheap as it gets, if the 10GB cap is sufficient.
Plus any available cashbacks of course-currently £28 on Quidco for a broadband sign up.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
