  • Well I lost yesterday to another migrane, a really bad one :( I wonder what's wrong with me...
I am now off work today because I feel a bit spaced out and zonked by two migranes in a row :(
At least I may be able to get some things done that I haven't managed to do so far this weekend.
I am back at the paperwork box but my GOD I can't be bothered. I shall persevere though and keep coming back to update on here.
Ohand Fairy, I was reading the simple living blog when you posted some links, I think i lefta comment on one but not sure if it actually worked :)

Yikes!! I'm back to earth with a sudden bump after my holiday!! I've got so much today before I'm back in work on Wednesday and I'm feeling a little unprepared!! it's so long since I've actually been in charge of a class and my brain is feeling a bit fried with everything I need to do.
    So the plan for today:

    1) [STRIKE]Cut and[/STRIKE] laminate birthdays display
    2) [STRIKE]Print and[/STRIKE] laminate daily timetable
    3) [STRIKE]Create reading area displays[/STRIKE]
    4) Laminate photos for pairs game
    5) [STRIKE]Peg labels for cloak room[/STRIKE]
6)[STRIKE] Print and[/STRIKE] laminate welcome bunting
    7) Names list for painting area
    8) [STRIKE]Colour images for painting area[/STRIKE]
    9) [STRIKE]Faces pictures for playdough area[/STRIKE]
    10) [STRIKE]Lists of am/pm children ready for Thursday[/STRIKE]
    11) [STRIKE]Find height chart for numeracy area[/STRIKE]
    12) [STRIKE]Cut and[/STRIKE] laminate number bunting
That will do for now I think!!

  • Thanks Fairy. I think I'd rather be sorting out boxes if I'm honest. My dad is probably going to go mad with the amount of printing I need to do and I'm struggling to think of settling in/getting to know you activities as I already know all but one child in my class, and for the first 2 weeks the two halves of my class aren't going to meet eachother

  • Hi everyone,

Well I splashed out on a reflexology session (£60!!) on Saturday, but I did feel that it was worth it - I slept much better afterwards & have been panicking less - am even feeling more motivated to go for a run, except I have been called into job no 2 this evening! However, I had an email from my running group today, there's a 5K run on October 6th that they're training for; maybe I should take the hint and rejoin them?!

Another couple of letters from Natwest and MBNA re loan defaults, so have sent them off to CAP. Also had a nasty-looking letter today which very nearly sent me into panic mode but turned out to be for a collection service on behalf of First Direct accepting my payment offer - phew. This month's CAP payment has already been made so I only(!) have to budget for rent, food and quite a lot of work travel this month. I do have a couple of friends with birthdays this month but have said no to one of them as the place she chose for dinner was very expensive and not vegetarian-friendly, I didn't want to pay £12.50 for a bowl of risotto when I don't even really like risotto :(

Fairy - I am in awe of your list-making abilities as usual and shall be following your example very soon!! Suzi - I hope you are feeling better now :)

I know there have been a few references on here to a website which could help with anxiety, but can't find them again (can't find how to search a thread, am I being dim?!) so if anyone could supply the details I would be very grateful! xxx
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j

  • Right the laminator didn't make it out of the cupboard yesterday so that's a big job for today - but can be done watching tv later! I had a few printer issues so the cutting didn't start until much later than planned - I hope I'm done earlier tonight!!

    1) Post back DVD
    2) LAMINATE!
    3) Work through notebook and sort other classroom areas (HUGE job!)
    4) Have a bath (or shower if work takes longer than hoped!)
    5) Go buy wooden clothes pegs (though this can be done tomorrow!)
    6) Planning for first couple of days (shouldn't be too difficult just planning for half day sessions!)
    7) Make lunch for tomorrow
    8) Get clothes and bag ready for tomorrow
    9) Early night!? (Yeah right!!)

That will have to do! And if it's not done by bed time I work through the night!!
