  • 2013 is going to be a bigger year for me and really excited as i am looking for positivity and general encouragement along the way the three areas that i am looking to get sorted on are as follows

~To declutter my parents home, since returning back home 2012 after my relationship breakdown there has been quite a decline in my parents health i really need to declutter there home and help them get sorted.

~Healthwise i need to lose weight i was at my neices indoor play area birthday party i was shattered with the running about, i need to lose weight and get fitter.

~Financially although on a DMP i would like to pay all of the debt off or a huge chunk of it by 31st December, but i would rather pay off all of the debt of course :o) come this time once completed i will have a party

happy daddy - sounds like excellent goals, we'll be here to cheer you on
Loonylamb - well done, you made a good start before the new year even came in! And fairyclicks and giggles - think you may have inspired me to dig out my wii and wii fit...

In other news the positive steps made so far yesterday and today are to list some more on eBay. I have listed approx 40 things now since Boxing Day so the decluttering is going well ... Have quite a few watchers and bids too so let's hope I can get shot of most of it!

Happy new POSITIVE year 2013 all x

    P_grrl xxx

P_grrl - well done on getting stuff on ebay, I keep on meaning to do that with the loft full that I've got, trouble is I watch too many horror films so I scare quite easily, think I'll have to get the OH to do it.
    HAPPY NEW YEAR STEPPERS :-)

I did pop in earlier with a big new year post but my internet died and it went vamoosh into cyberspace lol. I will add a little at a time to stop me losing it all over again!

First of all welcome to stepping if you are new to the challenge - everyone is welcome at fairys house, come in and say hello! :-)

I came up with the positive steps challenge as a way to help me manage my severe depression (diagnosed 20+ yrs ago with many ups and downs along the way) and found it so helpful for all sorts of things i try to do it now everyday :-) Last year proved to be a difficult one for me personally but with the support of the lovely stepping crew i managed to keep my chin up and achieved a lot :-)

Thanks for setting this up fairy clicks, I can see how it has helped you and others.

well happy new year everyone !!!!!
so far I've been out on my bike again but from my list I haven't done much else.
Tomorrow I'm going to make sure I take my lunch to work instead of buying it and I'm gonna get more paperwork done so it's an ongoing process.
Also thinking of going for a bike ride tomorrow night :D

    Debt-free and Proud!
    hello all!

Please can I join in your stepping challenge?

I am feeling rather positive about 2013 :D

My goals for the year are:
    • be debt free by summer
    • lose inches as well as weight
    • have savings of £2000 by the end of the year
    • exercise 5 times a week
    • get into a habit of budgetting
My smaller goals for January are:
    • meal plan, write a shopping list and stick to it!
    • start exercising
    • spend less than £100 a week on living
    • pay £600 towards my debts (£434 currently paid off)
I did an online grocery order last night to be delivered this evening so we can go to the gym after work. I have planned enough main meals so I shouldn't need to shop til the end of next week.

I must ensure we get to the gym tonight, first day back at work after the xmas break though and we're both flagging, yawn!

That's because you HAVE got loads done :) Is your internet still being shoddy Fairy? I hope it all gets sorted soon.
Hi his missus, good to see a another familiar face on here :)
And welcome to all the newbies that I don't know from other threads, so nice to have a busy thread again.
    So today's positive steps are:
    -updated classes on fitness website
-called Z*mba to sort website problems
-added classes to Z*mba and Jh**m website
-spoke to gym about confirming class time changes
-sorted out pay and arranged budget for the month
    -paid rent
    -emptied all the bins
    -put away all the washing

Pretty mundane stuff really but it is hard to get stuff done when it is so dark and miserable, trying to keep positive anyway, I have lots to be happy about :D
Me and the OH got engaged on Christmas Eve!! So plenty of motivation for debt busting and saving some money. :T

Hi, can I join after a terrible 2012 I need some motivation for 2013,which I'm determined is going to be better than 2012.
    Goals
1.stop stressing about illness and be happy.
2.start sewing again,I used to love it and need to dust off my machine.
3.pay off small amount debt I have.
4.get out and about more, lost confidence since illness.
    5.eat more healthly.
6.get to grips with a budget, this has completely gone to pieces.
7.save some more money and get a decent sum in savings.
8.de-clutter home and stop buying more clutter.
    9.STOP SMOKING.

I'll have to do small amounts a month and build up.Still not 100% but I never will be if I carry on as I have been.

So January ,I'll de-clutter and list at least 5 things on e bay.Cut smoking down.Get budget sorted,go out and do something I want to do, be happy about the life I have and stop stressing out.
