I got a bit of a shock when I rang Halifax last night - the advisor I got through to wasn't very easy to deal with........he finally set up a plan for me but only for 3 months, then I have to ring back and it will be reviewed. I know it's my own fault:o but the guy was quite nasty really, whereas other times I have rung they have been quite pleasant.
Some good has come out of it though as it has strengthened my resolve to get the arrears paid off asap. I'll use one of the other challenges for it, perhaps PAD.:A Or 1 debt v 100 days which I haven't been doing anything with recently!:A Actually just had a thought - if I have to ring up again in 3 months anyway the 100 day challenge would be great.£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

I am so sorry about your experience with Halifax. I was heavily in debt a few years ago and most people I contacted were polite and helpful. There was no reason for them to be rude as the people who get in touch pay up in the end.
One person I spoke to was quite snotty and rude so I made a formal complant about his attitude by writing to the COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT (in really large text). I got back a really apologetic letter.
It wasn't halifax, but I'm sure every bank has at least one of these little-minded cretins.
I'm glad, however, it's spurred you on. I managed to pay off my debt and am determined never to go down that route again. The people on this site are so brave, honest and creative about improving their circumstances, they do not deserve to be judged by idiots - when we are all out of debt, your little cretin will be out of work:jAiming to get healthy in 2014.0 -

1) Learn songs for Friday nights jam

I'm here!!!!!!
LOL been away visiting mummio since monday and collecting some more of my stuff from the old house! I think i should add getting all my stuff moved to my goals - i kinda forgot about that hahahaha!
Anyway, it has been a crazy few days - i collected my caravan which had been left sitting for that long it had turned green:o:o. So i got that, cleaned it from top to bottom, sorted out a flat tyre, sorted out the electrics for towing, filled it with boxes of my stuff and it is now sitting at my new front door
It has been a huge achievement for me to get all that done so i haven't really been slacking on my steps
Tomorrow will be another busy day as i need to unpack both the caravan and the car, do some sorting out of the stuff ready for taking to a car boot on saturday hopefully! Oh yes and i need to (wom)manhandle the caravan into some place where i can keep it without it being in the way - at the minute i can't get the car past it!
