didnt wake up 'til 8.45 this morning :T it was 5am yesterday so im grateful for a lie in
had a family party yesterday and it was really nice , dh and my family are sometimes strained with each other , but yesterday they all seemed to get on :T didnt go home 'til midnight so they must have enjoyed themselves , even DHs 88yr old mum was there to the end :T
bit of tidying up to do this morning , i did wash everything up last night , but i need to put away the pots i only use for parties lol i need to secerete them to the back of the cupboards , but that means pulling everything out to get them back in
lots of food left over so all meals are catered for , they can just help themselves out of the fridge. dd2 so far has had half a chocolate orange for breakfast
i made bread rolls yesterday , the dough was really wet, so i thought they would be rubbish , they were the best rolls ive ever made , is wet dough generally better?
must go and do some jobs
have a good day xx

wet here and i havent been out since the 23rd so beginning to get cabin fever. may hit the sales today. dont know why as im now on a strict budget and have nothing at all to spend. kids have some though so they will be happy. can honestly say there is nothhing i need anyway so thats good.
still eating our way though leftovers. its great...you get hungry and there is loads of stuff just waiting to be eaten. i had turkey salad last night in an effort to get my weight back on track....have put on about 7 pounds over christmas. ITS THE CHRISTMAS CAKE.
today will be hams and turkey and pickles with salad and chips. then still enough for a turkey curry for tomorrow. the good thing is i havent touched my other food so next weeks shop - im due to get the money on saturday - will be very small and i can put the money to good use somewhere else.
have cancelled my slimming w@rld membership as that is 20 pounds per month and hopefully i can go it alone now. i did a three month membership so ive been doing it a while now so i should know how it all works.
have a good day everyone0 -
Morning all
We had a huge thunderstorm here last night, but it seems to have all passed now and *whispers* I think the sun may be shining!
Tonight I'm cooking dinner for my parents, my cousin and his wife. She is American and they live there so are just visiting for a week. I'm doing nut roast, roast spuds and veg. I'm going to prep all the veg and the nut roast this morning, plus make a soup for the freezer (carrot and coriander I think). Then I only have to chuck it on to cook later.
I also feel like I have cabin fever, even though I have popped out for a bit every day. So I'm going to make a packed lunch and go for an explore somewhere. Hoping to get down to the country park for a walk there. I've acquired the work pass so won't need to pay to get in
OS wise - dinner prep and cook, ydays laundry to be put away, house needs quick tidy and hoover, dishes to wash.
Have a good day all

Luna is in the dog house. She was off her lead, spotted a poochie friend she knows and took off over a road to say hello  lucky for here it's a really quiet road
Am craving salad  a sure sign I've eaten too much rich foods last few days. My cucumber went off too quick so may walk up to Sainsbugs unless I can placate it with some HM leek and potato soup.
Kids are hyper, Christmas spirit vanished and am now craving normalitysorry sound like a right old moaner just feeling the effecs of being house bound with kids since Thurs last week. DS is being really shouty and loud

Morning all!
A nice quiet Chrsmas here. I was back at work yesterday and DH is back today.
Have had a good clean and started decluttering - everywhere seems to be a mess - to me anyway, I hate clutter.
Need to decide upon a savings plan for this year. There's a few things I want - new laptop and a new sofa - I've never had a brand new sofa before so I reckon I'm due a nice treat! No credit though, I want to be able to pay for it when I buy it.:)
Lots of food in the cupboards.I have to do a Morrison's shop to get the £30 off. I don't really need anything so not sure how I'm going to manage it. The list will probably look like this – milk, bread, fruit, lots of loo rolls, lots of toothpaste, lots of washing up liquid..............
.
same here tru! but I'm sure I'll fing something we need:D
(((hugs))) to Jools, UncleBryn, Molly and LW and anyone else feeling low or poorly x x x
work again later. Don't feel 100% but nothing I can put my finger on so I'll plod on as usual.
Take care all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Good Morning x
Thanks for all the kind wishes.
My thoughts are still with Jools and uncle Bryn.
We had a lovely Christmas and my parents got on well with the in-laws. We also had DS1 and his GF for the day which made 11 of us. However the food was delicious (although I say it myself) and everyone had a wonderful time :T:T:T
Back to reality today as have to organised returns of broken or unwanted presents and do money:eek::eek::eek:
Also little piggy was at vets again today as she is still poorly and has been kept in for another operation. Very insignificant in comparison to some people's problems but I do love my fur babes x
Hugs for a good day xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hi all
Good news – the plumbers are here!:T They were scheduled to arrive at 10:00, and were in fact about 20 minutes early. Mr LW is wfh, so if they need to speak to us about anything, he'll deal with them.
Poor Daisy is a bit stressed, but we're holed up in the lounge (where Mr LW has his work laptop on his desk) and she's got her bed, and her food and drink dishes on a tray, and she can look out of the patio door at the squirrels, so hopefully she'll be ok.
Hester those headbands sound like just the sort of thing I could do with – is it an easy pattern?:o
Tru re the Morries shop – if that was me, I'd stock up on stuff like loo roll, washing powder and other similar non-perishables, and stash them away for later. My spare room contains two crates full of these type of stores!;)
GWS wishes to all those with colds and other ailments; this wet weather isn't helping, I reckon. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good morning everyone
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Boxing Day.
We still have a fridge and freezer full of left overs plus we nipped out yesterday and bought a few irresistible Boxing Day bargains. Luxury prawn Chinese starters for £1 and Gravadlax for the same price now adorn our freezer!
We have GD still here and she is demanding croissants and juice for breakfast so I must go and do that. We all had a lovely sleep last night and I had my first real sleep in for months ... heaven.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin
