Always underpaid

I have a problem with the manager at my workplace that I was hoping to get some advice on.
Ever since I started my current job, I have always been underpaid every month. I keep track of what I work and what I'm due to be paid, and don't earn enough to pay tax.
It has become clear lately that my employer has been cutting hours off the work schedule that gets sent to HO for pay, for both myself and others, in order to save hours for the company. The manager does not allow anyone else see or send these to the HO, but others have seen them sent with hours worked cut down in order to save hours, and noticed underpayments.
We suspect that we are not allowed to see what is sent due to the manager always leaving early, sometimes hours in advance, but still claiming pay for the hours not worked.
Is there anything we can do to stop this / anything out there that protects us from this? Cheers:beer:

Raise a grievance along with the others that this has happened to. If that doesn't help then contact the NMW helpline - as depending on your hourly rate could potentially mean that the hours you are being paid for brings your hourly rate below the NMW.Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0

How can you prove it?@0

I keep a copy of all official work schedules, and all pay slips, but the problem is that sometimes we can be asked to stay later on the day, making the official schedule void. It is not uncommon for new shifts to be put on us at very short notice. I keep a written record of all hours worked and what should be paid, but it's my word against the managers which isn't the best position to be in.0

What does your manager say when you ask him why you've been underpaid?0
-
Says that they'll look into it, but nothing ever happens.0

Does your pay match your hours on the official schedule?0
-
No, never... But like I said, we can be asked to stay on longer, or shifts can be changed or added that won't be updated on the schedule sometimes. From my own records, I'm never paid what I'm owed either.0

Your records can't be independently verified. Surely you must have some sort of official timesheets or clocking in system ? How can you prove the hours you work?0

Yes how do you (OP) prove your basic contracted hours?Your records can't be independently verified. Surely you must have some sort of official timesheets or clocking in system ? How can you prove the hours you work?
Are you at least getting those paid as per the hours you work before overtime?
If so how does the manager who submits this prove these hours? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
The HO just goes by the work schedule that is supplied to them, we have no clocking in / out system or anything like that to 100% verify our hours worked. It is not a large working group in which absenses would go unnoticed or anything like that, so we don't really need that type of system.0
