Having been on this discussion on other threads trying to explain about timeshare, i can now state (having been to a presentation as I said I was going to do) that the company is totally legit and represents great value for money if you are interested in timeshare which gives amazing accommodation for low prices. the people who win the prize are winning the membership fees and there is annual maintenance fee involved of approx £399 for first 3 years. if you are interested in timeshare then now is the time to enquire as you will save money long term with superb accommodation involved, and they will give some great deals if you keep saying no. We were given a fantastic deal after saying no three times and still had to turn it down as we already own timeshare in USA. however if we had gone to Seasons first then we would have bought there as exchange potential with the rest of the world is enormous due to the fact that there are not many timeshares in UK compared with USA/Tenerife etc. we stayed at Whitbarrow resort in lake District for a week and units were great (although haunted very strongly-not joking!!); the staff were friendly and put on wine and cheese evenings, quiz night and we had a great time. they also took a lot of time to explain how their timeshare worked. if you can go at any time of year (out of season) and at the drop of a hat then great savings can be made. They do a hard sell to try and upgrade you but doesn't everybody do the hard sell these days?
we enjoyed the tour, our week's stay, the free food and are now looking forward to a week's free holiday later in the year at one of their other resorts either here or abroad.
Worth a look if you are interested in owning timeshare.0 -

I guess that "scam" is a bit of a harsh word as you do get something out of it. But a timeshare that is in effect worthless but cost you the earth and probably your sanity due to the hard sell pressure and sales tactics that are designed to confuse, it's certainly something that should be avoided. Its why these types of things are posted to the more mature members of society rather than the younger ones who are highly likely to tell them to eff off.0
