I got letter by Recorded Delivery this morning saying I had won a prize "to the value of £3750" so thought, oh-oh, this will be a timeshare scam- and of course was right - it's really easy to check but these people prey on those who aren't so savvy on the internet. The fact it was Recorded Delivery might make people think it's genuine. Anyway it's going straight in the bin, thanks everyone! (I wouldn't mind the £3750 cash though - perhaps I'll call them and ask for that instead! just kidding)
  • I have received the same notification today, jumped on the website to see
what I was missing, and read the scam. Much appreciated, realisation has
    just kicked in. :money:
  • I received the very same letter about 3 weeks ago and was thrown by the recorded delivery. A quick check on here and it revealed my thoughts were correct. Oh well I had about 1 minute of elation thinking I had actually won something.

I have read other posters saying they still chase you once the initial letter has been sent and you made no contact, however thankfully as yet I have had nothing else.

  • Season holidays must be a successful company. So many of us have won. That's millions of pounds to give away. Thanks for all who have written here. Just a quick search can save you from loads of trouble. I hope it will help others too.
  • I received one of their letters today saying i had won a prize to the value of £3750 in this month's prize draw. I am a great believer in there's no such thing as a free meal. Anyway seeing as it was a freephone number you had to ring i thought i would contact them. My letter says that i had to reply within seven days from the date of this letter, failure to do so will result in the loss of my prize. (Oh Boo! Hoo!) I said i couldn't take in all the information and now i am waiting for confirmation in the post from them ( i won't hold my breath) Did anyone else get a password from them on the telephone which will enable you to calim a FREE 30 page photo-book from BONUSPRINT worth £6.99. I did remark to them i bet you've sent a few of these letters out and was actually told that they only send out 1 a week (yeah right whatever) Thank goodness for this site with the helpful comments and warnings of these scams.
  • I have recently met face-2-face one of the individuals involved in this company and he seemed to be OK. Has anyone any information regarding how this offer works. Clearly they are a 'successful' company and have a lot of clients who appear on the face of it to be relatively happy. Is it the service that doesn't work for you or just the way they market potential customers? What is the real story here? No axe to grind just interested!
  • I received a letter from this company, again, quoting a 50% discount. Now only £183.50. Due to the posting on this site I'm happy to refuse this generous offer. Thanks.

  • Hi
Thankyou all you guys on this site I too received a letter from seasons holidays today not recorded delivery saying that I had won a prize to the value of £3750 and to freephone Carol within 7 days or lose the prize and thought fantastic as I never win anything I was thinking of sun sea a relaxation. Went on their website what a surprise (or not) there's a catch timeshare oh well I always knew you get nothing for free but the two seconds of dreaming was good.
I just feel sorry for all the people who do get duped and end up parting with their money especially as they give a freephone number (very crafty) if it was a premium number peoples suspicions would be raised straightaway.

We recieved a letter today telling us we had won a prize to the vaule of 3750 pounds. So i googled the company and yes there is mixed feelings, more bad than good. The people who think this is a fair deal please do your homework, we go on cottage holidays 4 times a year and pick up great deals from 150 pounds for 5 sleeping for 5 nights. The most we have ever paid is 800 pounds for 17 people sleeping for 4 nights. I think you will agree paying a management fee of apparently 395 pounds for max 4 people sleeping is robbery plain and simple. Welcome cottages is a great company, they have on their books privatly owned cottages in some beautiful parts of the UK, we have never had a bad stay and cottages can be viewed before you book online.
