pc to pc file transfer cable

I bought a trust cable for 15 quid... it's alright, but both PCs require software installing. I had hoped they'd just see each other as an external HD but no such luck. Decide on the quantity of data you want to transfer. I just bought a 4gb USB memory stick for under 20 quid from play.com ..I wish i'd not bothered with the cable now0

Just connect to your old PC from the new one over your network. If you're using Windows then just add a new network place and mount the other hard drive.0
