hey all.
I am looking to transfer file from one pc to another. I don't really want to spend much as I think I will only use it a couple of times
Is something like this any good, or does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives?

What about a simple crossed network cable, plug it on the network card of both PC, and share the files?0

yup you want a crossover cable, depending on where you get it from can be as little as £10

free solution:
Assuming both pcs have IDE (or SATA) hard drive connections, pop the drive from the old one into the new one & copy away. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
