EXPIRED Goose Down Pillows - £22.50

I am curious to know what anyone thinks of theirs when they receive them, but I'm also thinking pillows are maybe one of the products you really need to shop for in person if you're after something in particular - one person's soft/too thin, is another person's firm, too thick! £45 for two pillows is still a lot of money.0

I've just received this pillow and am ever so slightly disappointed. It is a bit on the hard side. But to be fair it was probably my own fault as it is 'medium-firm' - exactly as described. Might have to try one of the 'medium' ones, but then again might just send it back. Not sure.0

I really do not want to start an argument over this but people might not be aware that most goose down is live plucked from geese, leaving them painfully raw and bleeding, sometimes they are even scalded first to make the feathers easier to pluck.
Sainsbury, Tesco and more do synthetic 'just like down' pillows which all get good reviews.
If you want to know more, here is a link but there is much information available.

Thanks for your link and you awareness, i only clicked to see what everyone said because i saw an article a few weeks ago and saw that it was fashion brands like zara (dont know where there made but sold in europe) I havent personally read your link because i know what goes on with alot of animal crulity and it make me sick and the pictures can be quiet upsetting, But incase you did want to read and see what really happens heres mine. Both the "medium" and Medium firm" ones are now £33.75, not £22.50 anymore on the website.
Thanks OP and Jelly Tots, always appreciate someone posting an opinion about something I would be using every night, I ordered 2 so will only open one to sleep on for a night and will send the other back if necessary, they have a free returns policy and refund your return postage costs.0 -
I just thought I'd say that the medium goose down superking pillows I ordered for my parents from DAPW are really lovely - they are soft but nicely filled (so it'll be supportive). I like them.
I bought my truely perfectly amazing pillows from a seller called get-2-bed on eBay. I was given some money especially to buy some nice pillows (thank you darling sister!) and bought the Siberian down pillows which were expensive (£70 for the pair) but are amazing and for the price that the DAPW medium ones are now I'd definitely recommend spending a couple of extra quid and getting the 100% siberian goose down pillows (eBay number 281023096028 for those who are wondering). Don't be put off by buying from eBay, they are branded cuddledown and are the best pillow I've ever had the delight to use - I would love another one but don't have the money at the moment.
For £40 each the superking ones at DAPW are a good buy as superking ones tend to be much more expensive and harder to come by (unless you have hundreds of pounds to spend in which case The White Company have ridiculously expensive ones!).
I hope people have a good nights sleep on their lovely pillows!0 -
After sleeping on it, I have decided it is not as hard as I first thought and is actually lovely
. I think if they were any softer, your head would sink too far into the pillow and you feel like you were suffocating if you know what I mean lol. Thanks to OP - I am so glad I saw this post. 0 -
I also had mine delivered yesterday and was not initially impressed. They were not worth the original price. At £22.50 I thought they were probably only just worth this. Last night was the best sleep I have had in ages. The pillows are soft and support your head well, no crunchy feather sounds as they are all down. Would have bought more but as they have increased in price, I am off to check out ebay ( as advised by hvd201 )

Lovely Pillows!:) Got mine today and won't be sending any back, medium firm is fine, can't feel the "chamber" but I guess it does what it is supposed to,really pleased, especially as I only sleep on one. Nice and heavy in comparison to those I had on my bed already, so good fill weight.
I don't need any more but the new price of £33.75 still seems reasonable.0
